Description:
"The friendship between Joe and Roy Lichtenstein has never been chronicled; however, it was an important part of Joe's life. After the beginning of their friendship in Columbus, Ohio, the two continued to interact and influence each other until Roy's death in 1997.
Works on paper were an integral part of both of their creative processes. As Roy once stated, "It's all drawn up in the drawings and all accomplished in the paintings."
Roy and Joe continued to be friends throughout their lives, sharing stories and ideas whenever possible."
