Description:

Seated Hermes is a Roman Imperial statue, discovered in the Villa of the Papyri in Herculaneum, a town buried by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. The original bronze is in the collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.
