Made in anticipation of, or as a commemorative medal for Mark Hanna, as he died in February of 1904, before the convention convened in June.

 

Finely cast and modeled with a depiction of the Capitol building and a robed goddess holding cornucopias issuing a locomotive and a masted freighter, representing Hanna’s business interests, on a silk red, white and blue ribbon.
