Epona is a Celtic and Gallo-Roman goddess, the divine protector of horses, donkeys, and mules, also associated with fertility, land, and the afterlife, often depicted with her animals or symbols of abundance like cornucopias. Her worship was widespread, even adopted by the Romans, who placed her images in stables for protection.
