Nelson Oestreich was a 20th Century American artist and teacher. He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University and Kent State University, and was for many years an art professor at Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. Oestreich was known for his paintings, etchings, woodcarvings and woodcut prints, many of which depicted the American experience in general, and the Amish experience in particular. Oestreich was the co-author of two books of poetry and woodcuts titled "The Amish: 2 Perceptions".
